Access to the jazz literature has been restricted by the lack of indexes. Only Jazz journal and Cadence produce annual indexes. The French Jazz magazine has recently added to its website an index to articles and interviews in issues 1-505. Inclusion of jazz magazines in The Music index is limited, though it covers more now than it used to. Inspired by Tom Lord's cumulative indexes to Cadence I have produced a series of indexes to a similar standard.
